Speaker Connector pulled away from logic board: all 6 pins are broken
Hello and Thanks in Advance this is my first time posting a question but I use your site religiously so Imma give it a try. I was given an I pad 3 wifi to replace a broken screen and when I started tearing it down I realized it also needed a new LCD and the battery wouldn't hold charge so I assumed it needed a new on. This is the 1st battery replacement I have attempted on an ipad of any kind and I think I made a big screw up. As I was unconnecting the wifi cable, speakers and the dock connectors I was alittle unsure as of how to pop the speaker one up and when I finally pulled the connector came off of the logic board leaving 6 little prongs there. At this point I did not think I had messed up I thought I would just pop the connector back down onto the board and that would be it. Boy was I wrong, let me add that this repair went super smooth besides this, when I tried to line the speaker connector up with the prongs I couldnt get it and eventually I pushed one down. I took my tweezers to raise it back up and it just broke away from the board. This ended up happening with all 6 of them Now I have to idea what to do, how to fix it, or if I have just ruined the speakers on this ipad. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can even take a picture of it if you need one. :)
