Upgrade to Pure SSD or Hybrid SSHD?

So I'm looking to upgrade the hard drive in my early-2008 (EMC 2210) Intel iMac, and I'm trying to decide between a regular SSD or a hybrid drive. I know SSD are more expensive for less storage. I don't really *need* more storage, but I wouldn't mind having it, either.

Does anyone know how much of a speed hit I'd be taking going hybrid?

Thanks. Can you elaborate on why, especially considering that the extra space is only a nice benefit, not a necessity?
