on but the lcd is very dark, the inverter fails?

I think that inverter is faulty, because the image is very dark and if I use an external lcd the image is ok.

How can I replace the inverter?

Damian, download the service manual from the bottom of this page. also take a look at this video, both should help you find your inverter:-) Hope this helps, good luck.
