flickering & Siri making voice comands

Replacing the digitizer on an iPad Air. This is the 4th Air I have done and this one is giving me fits. After installing the glass Siri turns on and announces the time and does not let me open the screen or any other screen commands. I have tried 5 different digitizers from 3 different suppliers. I have tried covering the home button cable and digitizer cable with electrical tape to avoid from touching the frame.

What am I missing?

If you disconnect the home button cable does it still activate?

The screens might not be the problem have you tryed another home button flex cable?

Problem Solved. Place a thin strip of black electrical tape across the gold lower part of the digitizer. Works fine now.

Used original home button and two new ones. Same problem.

So the Siri issue was the assist touch. 3 clicks of the home button turns it off. I'm still getting flickering and phantom touch on multiple digitizers. I have used electrical tape on everything I can think of to avoid cable contact with the frame.

The glass has at times worked for a few moments. ( 30 sec + ) Then it will start phantom touching in many different areas. It will also not allow touch sometimes.

Hate this iPad right now!

Think this is a problem with the copy screens as the original screens have a bronze border and have never used tape with these
