I recently replace my broken screen and after the replacement now the Home Button no longer works at all. There was no problem with the button before the screen replacement.

Have you damaged the flex cable? The home button has a cable that goes from the bottom of the LCD screen and attaches to a a connector on the logic board. If you have somehow damaged this then you will have lost your fingerprint sensor

I have no idea how it would have been damaged as nothing was done with or to it.

Maybe you tugged the cable too much, or folded it the wrong way.
