My trackball dont work is there a way just to use the keyboard instead
My trackball failed can i use my keyboard instead untill i can get the replacement trackball?please help

Most primary operations on a Blackberry rely on the trackball so I would say no, not until you have a new one.

The trackball on mine is pretty busted, I had to take apart my blackberry bold to replace it, I'll post a guide up later.
The newer blackberries feature an infrared sensor instead of a trackball that gets dirty and stops catching later on. Or RIM just wanted more money by making the balls break :P

Try to clean trackball with paper. Cut paper in the right size (2mm may be), roll paper inside track ball. Good change it can clean track ball.

Gracias KAM por tu consejo, pude arreglar mi blackberry, aunque si es necesario llevarla al servicio.

Flip your BlackBerry upside down, push down on the trackball and run it on a clean piece of paper for about 5 seconds. Be careful you don't call 911 by accident (by hitting the "Emergency" button). Works every time.

Did the entire trackball cease to operate, including scrolling? Or is it just the clicking functionality?
