Why is my JBL's sound quality poor?

I have been using my JBL for about a year now, and the sound quality seems worse than usual. Is there a way for me to fix it?

If you download the JBL connect app on your phone then open the app and follow the prompts to update the firmware. This worked like a charm for me.

I had this problem as well. Try checking to make sure it doesn't have the same problem with every device. On my computer, my JBLs were glitching and the sound quality was very grainy. When I switched to my phone, it was fine. I did some research and found out that this can happen in speakers/headphones are connected to devices with a low battery OR if the JBLs themselves have low battery. Try charging your devices and try again.

The problem with the JBL at this point could be due to multiple reasons but most commonly, the decline in quality is caused by either overuse or playing music at too high of a volume. The only way to fix that is to replace the speaker completely. Please refer to the Speaker Replacement Guide. Also, the Troubleshooting page may be able to provide further insight to the problem.

Also the speakers create a pocket of air, the side speakers are not actual speakers. The pocket of air the speakers create is what makes the sides (bump) if the car is cracked and the air pocket escapes then it will make the sound quality worse.. js

My speakers were repaired at a shop to fix the usb plug that broke, they installed a usb slot but in doing so compromised the sound pocket of the device. The sides dont bump and the audio is thin. What do I do?

I rebooted my cell phone and it cleared up. Updated the firmware earlier but to no avail. Try powering off your cell and reboot.
