There is no memory card inside iphones. apple use BGA chop to do all memory functions
Thanks. I had a water damaged iPhone 6 that carrier At&t wanted me to return to them and they said for my safety, to remove the SIM card (I did do that) and the memory card (I didn't do that because I couldn't find it). I assume there is no problem then, right?

Flash module soldered to logic board and you will need high level BGA reworking skills to replace it, even if you replaced it you want be able to decrypt the encrypted data on dead. Simply, answer is NO
Simply answer is yes actually. The nand CPU and baseband use cryptographic paring, you would have to replace all 3.
Q. How can I even search for a place that would be able to replace the parts on a new board? My phone is smashed. Major damage. No power. But I think if I took to a cca house they could do it. I would pay. I just want my pictures and videos

I would also like to know the answer to last 2 questions above. I have an iPhone 6S water damaged. It started making a sizzle popping sound as soon as I took it out of the puddle. Took it to a local guy and he tried a new screen and battery, no signs of life. I need this fixed to do a much needed back up to my new phone. Any suggestions? Does anyone know if Apple replaces certain components on the motherboard? Thanks in advance

The memory card id inside the actual iPhone if you want to get a bigger one i recommend buy a new iPhone and don't struggle

iPhone does not have a memory card that you can change.
However, you can add expanded storage as a separate drive via the lightning dock.

I just watched a handy person do the replacement on YouTube (a white guy living in China) it took him three weeks
a special logic board holder, torch, microscope, special soldering ball grid and dozens of dead logic boards to practice
the removal and replacement of the memory chip before he was confident enough to remove and upgrade his own with a larger one. He also had to buy a special board flash chip reprogrammer and reader. So while yes it’s possible to do this and in China there are ,any technicians who do this every day, this is an expert level repair and replacement.
There are two YouTube people who do this repair. A man in New York Louis Rossman, the video I watched last night was a YouTube called strange parts, How I upgraded my iPhone memory by 800%… I wish you much luck.
