My screen has cracked & it is cheaper to replace the tablet then repair it. I have numerous games saved to the sd card. I want to keep the apps and game progress intact should i get a replacement tablet. Is this possible, if so how & can i transfef it all to a newer version of ths samsung galaxy tab 3?

I think if everything is saved on the SD card you should just be able to swap it over to the new device. If not there is software and Apps that will help you transfer everything you want. This looks quite good but not sure if it is free Wondershare MobileGo.
You would need to do a backup and then just restore it to the new device.
