Hi TK,

Once you obtain your replacement antenna, you can follow this guide in order to gain access to the motherboard and USB Board, here you can see the blue signal antenna running from the USB Board up along the right side of the battery to the motherboard. Then you can simply disconnect the old one and attach the new part.

What about the other antenna? The 4G (Data) antenna? I just replaced my USB charging board and the antenna connector just popped off. I can't crimp it back on either. Where do I find the part?

Does it look like the connector for the antenna or the board is deformed at all?

What about the antenna for call signal strength and not wifi? I have full signal strength for wifi but call signal strength about 2 asu ( -109 dBm) - an identical phone on the same network has much better reception so i conclude the issue is the antenna - any ideas on how to resolve this issue?

I have the same issue with my Samsung S4.

I think I have to open the phone so I can see and fix the connections to the actual antenna (located on a PCB).

The blue cable isn’t the antenna, it is a coax cable, intended to transfer the antenna signal to the radio circuitry located at the top. The antenna must be located at the lower part of the phone, not visible when you only remove the battery cover.

I am eager to fix this problem for both of us and continue the communication over this issue.

I have the same issue with my S4. I don't seem to have issue with Wi-Fi, but strength so low that I rarely have 3G or 4G reception inside buildings unless I am stationed at a large window. Changed the blue cable with that of another and thought I would notice a change, but I did not. It is most definitely my phone and not the service itself as others have no issue, and problem persists with or without a protective case. Is the blue cable indeed what affects cell signal? Do I need to try a 3rd time? or is the antenna located somewhere else?
