unable to detach front panel with iopener

i'm using the iopener to attempt to detach the front panel from my ipad and i am having some trouble.

i've heated it for 30 seconds a few times and left the iopener on the screen for a couple minutes. pulling using a suction cup with a good seal isn't lifting the screen at all.

any pointers? keep heating it up?
