How do I replace my ASUS Vivo Tab Note 8 charging port?

My Vivo Tab Note 8 wasn't charging. After a little investigating and removing the cover, I discovered that the solder on the charging port was broken and the male prongs bent. It looks like some pretty small soldering needs to be done to attach a new male part/port. A couple of computer/electronic repair shops in town won't deal with it, as they say they can't (won't?) solder that small of a part. It is just out of warranty and I fear if I send it back to the manufacturer it will cost me more than a new one would. Any advice??? Thanks!
