Can I upgrade my hard drive on my iPod touch from an 8 gig to a 16 or higher gig?

The iPod Touch utilizes flash memory as its storage medium. The flash memory is soldered to the motherboard, thus rendering it unserviceable. I think your only option is to buy a seperate logic board (1st Gen Touch) with the desired amount of storage and replace it.
