Touch ID isnt working after screen replacement!

A couple of days ago i replaced my broken iPhone 6 screen (I did it myself). Everything is working fine, except my Touch ID. My home button works. How to fix this? I still have the broken screen available.

Did you make sure to keep the original home button? For iPhones with Touch ID, it requires the original home button. Almost like an extension of the logic board.

Hey there! The iPhone 6 keeps track of the original home button for the touch id. When you replaced the screen, did you get the complete assembly with home button? If you did, you phone is just protecting itself from someone trying to break into your phone. If you didn't, the gasket or home button may not be fitting well, and may not be registering as the stock part. I'd check these two possibilities, and ask again if the issue isn't resolved.

Best of luck!

Thank you for the answer! I replaced the original screen, but the home button is the same! I'll check if everything is fitted as it should be!

What has happened recently is that apple tightened the tolerance on the home button. When replacing LCD's make sure you keep the home button and home button ribbon together or else this issue can come up also. Make sure your using the original ribbon with the original home button.
