Will leaving an image on screen to long hurt it?

I want to leave my tablet on overnight with a webpage open, in case a loved one needs to get ahold of me. In the past, the messenger has messed up, and if you minimize the browser or page, no matter how long ago the person messaged you, it doesn't make the 'new message received' noise until you pull the browser/page back up. But I absolutely want to be there for them if they need me and I want the sound to wake me. I wanted to know if doing this would hurt the screen. I know certain screens are subject to images burning into them, but I didn't know how to find out what kind of screen my tablet has, as it isn't in the PC Information, and a Google search turned up nothing, and gave me confusing answers when I tried to find out what kind of screens tablets have, since I think it was saying certain ones have LCD and other certain ones have LED, but I never saw the Toshiba Encore 2 mentioned, and I wanted to know for sure. It says it has LED Backlight Technology on a specs website, but I don't know if that's the actual screen, or like other devices I know, it's referring to the lights around the edges that change the brightness of the screen. I just really wanted to know if this was a serious issue I'd run into if I do this.

Your tablet will be okay with the screen on the same image indefinitely, because it uses LCD technologies in the screen.

LCD screens are immune to burn in. LED screens are just a variation of LCD screens, and also don't have a burn in problem.

OLED screens can have issues if left on high brightness for over 24 hours, so it is best to lower the brightness on that type of screen if a static image must be displayed.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for that, that really helps to know. I tend to leave the brightness at it's minimum to extend the battery's charge, and it's reassuring to know that I'm doing the right thing with that. Thank you for letting me know!
