I have only had this for about 8 months. It was playing games fine and all the sudden it won't play any of my games.
It says "There is nothing inserted in the Game Card slot."

Your card slot is broken and can't detect the inserted card; unfortunately, you will have to replace the main board.

wouldn't just unsoldering and replacing the card slot with a new one. i did this on the ds lite with no problems.

Same thing here. I've had my DSI for about 5 years and it hasent had any problems period. but one day when i went to play on it, it said "There is nothing inserted in the game slot." i took it out and blew on it and all that but it still didn't work. i tried a new game and it didn't work. I called Nintendo Company but they said i'd have to send it off to get fixed. i Still Haven't sent it off because i've been searching for a solution. So if you know any tricks PLEASE HELP!!!

I have no issue. My games is play all the time. I download games from here. It is very interesting games.
