the top row of keys between keys ESC and DEL don't work. this on a new Toshiba satellite.

Hi,
If it is a new laptop, verify that the warranty period is still valid. Ensure that you have the sales receipt or proof of purchase. If it is within the manufacturer's stated warranty period, consult the warranty documentation that came with the laptop as to what you have to do to make a claim for a warranty repair.
