I am missing two screws to the top red toro plastic cover

I am missing the two screws on the top of my red plastic cover for my 6.75 190cc mower. What size are the screws and where can I get them?

Please give us the model number.

These screws fall out very often due to vibration. The other problem is that they are screwed into plastic. Before getting new screws, make sure the plastic part isn't messed up and will hold the screws. If it looks ragged, just get oversized screws.

Does the mower look like this: https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=htt...

(Model number / engine type doesn't matter here - these screws are the same across the board. I repaired small engines for a living for a bit - have seen hundreds of these.)

Yes the mower looks just like this. Where do I find the model number? It is Briggs & Stratton

Tyler, Pop into any small engine repair shop and they will probably have some screws/bolts for a small charge if not free or you can try searching the link below, You will have to select your model #, if no luck with the Toro model #, find out which engine you have(Briggs&Stratton, Tecumseh, Kolher, Honda) and model# and do a search at the same sight in categories (engine parts). Good luck

I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.

I found the top cover screws ( pull rope housing) to be 5m × .8 metric. On my particular cover original screws had a wide shoulder ( curl) on them which are impossible to find unless you go to a bolt specialty shop . So what I did was purchase from home Depot 5m x .8 x 30 mm ( only available in stainless) and I also got matching nuts for bolts. Finally got 2 plastic spacers.171in ID x 3/8 in OD x 1in length. Located all in same section in their special bolt cabinet. I put nut on bolt first all the way up and put spacer on afterwards and screwed into top . Tighten by unscrewing nut downward to put tension on spacer. Good luck
