MacBook air randomly powering down

My 2011 MacBook air 11inch is randomly powering down. I say random however it almost appears like it happens when I hit the "I" key. I just recently installed a 64gb SSD and when I go to partition the drive, it shuts off. I have tried doing a PRAM reset but when I start typing near the "I" key, it shuts down.

Could the battery be going bad or something more of a problem? Any suggestions?
