Turn old MacBook Air A1466 into external monitor, build
Hello. I recently watched this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfirQC99...), and got inspired to try it myself with my old Macbook Air 13" A1466.
However, in the video, you have to use a controlboard for the computer. I can't seem to find one, with either HDMI or Thunberbolt, that will work with the Macbook Air.
Any suggestions as to what to do, or where to find a controlboard?
Cheers.

@lawrenceofara aside from the video what is your plan? You need a controller for the computer or for the panel? what make and model is your panel?

Just for clarification (there are 9 A1466 machines) please pick yours:

Forgive my ignorance. I have a MacBook Air "Core i5" 1.8 13" (Mid-2012) 1.8 GHz Core i5 (I5-3427U).
The idea is, as in the video, to cut the computer and remove the screen. The computer itself is very unreliable, as it has comprehensive waterdamage, so many parts aren't functioning fully, apart from the screen itself.
So I thought it would make a neat project to turn the screen into an external monitor, either through thunderbolt or HDMI.
I'm unsure as to what the panelnumber is, as I haven't opened the computer yet.
Thank you for the rapid answers.

Okay, got it. You wil need to number right off the panel. The problemn is going to be that Apple panels use a different setup and not every panel can be used for that.
