Completely dead, will not turn on
Worked fine then left on charge overnight , would not turn on in morning. Black screen, no battery symble shown. Completely dead.

@operfrank possible that you battery just did not get charged or is no longer holding a charge. Replace the battery first. To troubleshoot the no power situation, you do want to follow the Samsung troubleshooting for this:
