EOS 30 is a film SLR which may explain why a memory card would not stay in. Hope this helps.

Hi Tommy,
Maybe you typed in the wrong Canon model and instead you meant the Canon 30D. Have you tried cleaning your CF card? Most likely just a dirty contact occurring between the card and your device but also note that the port may just been worn out after all these years. Do not use a compressed air can and instead use proper cleaning solutions made for memory cards and memory card readers itself.
