Replacing Hard drive iPod Classic 60 Gb

iPod Classic 60Gb Model A1099

If I replace the hard drive in my 60Gb iPod Classic with a 240GB Toshiba MK2431GAH hard drive, do I follow the same directions as the standard hard drive replacement?

Yes, assuming the connector is the same on both hard drives, and that it is compatible with the iPod (some of them have a limit as to how much memory they can see).

You might also consider replacing the HDD with an SD card, I've done this myself recently and it makes a noticeable difference. This is the shop I bought the kit from:
