USB port not wanting to communicate with any devices.

Hey, I have been an issue with my usb port on my camera no longer comunicating with any devices whatsoever.

Trying to get drivers and so does not work and on windows, it gives the message "The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognise it. Try reconnecting the device. If windows still does not recognise it, your device may not be working properly."

I believe that the Data connections got shorted once, which may be why it no longer communicate to any devices but still charges. Is there any repair kits or so available?

If there is no fixes, I am fine with getting it to sync photos and videos wirelessly instead.

Options

Have you tried using a different cable ? If your ok with opening the camera check the port from the inside and make sure all the solder joints on the port are connected and there are no cracks or breaks in the solder. look for burn capacitors or chips in the area of the port

I'd try a different computer as well. Windows is not always the most stable platform....
