My charging port is missing prongs!

'''My RCA PRO 10 Tablet is missing a few prongs therefore it isn't charging. I live in Rome, Ga; do you know some where around here that I could take it, to get it fixed?

''' I have also heard that you can use the HDMI, to charge the tablet and use it this way! Have you heard of anyone doing this? Have they had any luck doing this?? In desperate need of help, depend on my tablet daily, for Doctor appointments, my kid's schooling, and their after school activities.

Options

@roll_tide1 most RCA tablets have the port soldered to the motherboard. You'd have to disassemble your tablet desolder the post and replace it. If you are unsure of how to do that you want to get it done by a pro. It is very difficult for us to suggest anyone for this repair in your area since that would be very subjective. I'd suggest that you use your favorite online search engine and see if you can find a good repair shop (+customer feedback) in your area or even consider sending it off for repair.
