Hi, According to the included link the ram on your machine can only be upgraded at time of purchase. Sorry.

The SSD is secured by a T5 Torx screw. Do NOT try to unscrew it with a T6 or you will thread it. I almost did that since I read somewhere you need a T6 Torx screwdriver and this is INCORRECT. I bought a T5 since it wasn't in my toolkit and that is indeed the correct one. T5. Make note of this.

It looks like they say SSD is not changeable but in reality it is. Maybe the same thing works with ram?

The ram is soldered to the motherboard. When you remove the SSD, which is secured with a t6 torx screw you can clearly see the memory modules. The modules are spread out on the actual logic board rather than a removable memory module.

The 2011 model moves the memory to a new location however it is still soldered directly to the logic board and is not removable.
