when I start the car their is a knocking sound.

Eighth generation of the Honda Civic.

Options

engine knocks when starting . Once engine starts, there is no knocking. I was wondering if it was a loose starter or motor mounts.

Help please.

Could be so many things. First take it to an Auto-Zone and get a free computer read out.
