Microphones not working after screen/digitizer and battery repalcement

I replaced the entire screen (new screen included glass, digitizer, camera etc) as well as the battery on my sons's 5C. Now now of the microphones are working. Everything else works cameras, home button etc. Did I mess something up? Is there a central connection that would effect all 3 microphones?? Thanks for any help

mics were working. I pulled apart/reassembled 3 times. I examined pin connectors with magnifying glass they look good. If all mics (bottom of phone, top front and top rear) are not working doesn't that rule out that the new screen assembly (including the 3 ribbon connectors on the new screen), i.e. the issue is somewhere in the main body of the phone. Only the front facing top mic is part of the new screen assembly. The only issue during the initial repair was difficulty removing the old battery that adhered into the phone. Both adhesive strips ripped free - so really had to pry battery out. Battery charges fine, speakers play music and previously recorded videos, but no mic to record new audio on videos (front facing and rear facing camera), no mic for phone service, no mic even if phone is switched to speaker during phone call - can hear other person just fine. I must have accidentally disconnected something?

I updated answer with a couple drawings of another flex to check.

If the Mics were working prior to screen and battery replacement, I could only think that maybe you accidentally knocked off or dislodged a component near the front camera/mic flex connector area of the motherboard. Or damaged a pin on the connector... When putting back together, were you careful to put the same screws back in the holes they came out of? (Thinking possible long screw damage)...

I'd go back and remove the new screen...verify that the Flex looks good, the connectors are good and have a real close look around the connector that the front mic would plug into.

Of course, I could be way off...as I don't work on the 5C hardly enough to know off the top of my head, but by going back through the steps you took from the time you began the screen exchange, you should be able to find the mistake or damaged part(s).

Also,

You could check around here...

Post back what you find (or don't find) and I'll do my homework :)
