White and black horizontal lines on my entire screen?

Ok, so I dropped my phone a few months ago and it was fine. Has a really bad shattered screen, but otherwise it works. A few days ago I turned it on to text my mom and all of a sudden a bunch of glitchy horizontal lines showed, starting from the most damage up. Kinda like water rising is how it showed. I hit the power button, and then turned it back on and it was fine until I clicked on something and then it did it again. This happens every time now. How do I fix it?

Options

You'll probably need to take the device apart and survey the damage. Sounds to me like you damaged the display connection, so you'll probably need to replace it. Don't know for sure until you crack 'er open.
