bypass pat in 2002 ford focus
how do i bypass the pat system in a 2002 ford focus i have removed the key switch because it locked up and wouldn't turn

There is no way to bypass it. As long as the transceiver ring around the ignition lock is not damaged , you can buy a new Ignition lock with 2 keys, and either tow it to ford to have the keys programmed or have a lock smith program them.

There is a free open source obdII ford specific software called forescan
Works with USB and Bluetooth obdII interfaces
To reprogram keys, you have to register your information in the software, this is to prevent just anyone reprogramming a key and stealing a car.
