Issues after water damage to phone

So about a month ago I got some water in my oneplus 3t and now I'm going back to see if there is anything that I can do. So when I plug it into my pc I get the Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 and when I try and run a tool to hard unbrick it it runs on repeattrying to reimage it and the led aslo turns on so I'm not sure if something in the motherboard is fried or the storage is broken because it can't flash the device so I'm asumming a hardware issue, but I'm not sure what part of the phone could be giving me the issue and I was wondering if anybody had any ideas based on this information. Thanks for any help!

@dannyc5125 Yeah it was in a bag and I brought it on the lake and some water got in but it was working after for a few hours and I did power it off then I tried charging jt. Also when the phone is dead like completely it shows up.on the display but when I try to boot it up it goes black. Hope that helps and the tool said it completed successfully then it goes through it again on a loop so it must not be sending the data to the storage is what I'm thinking.

Since it had water damage I'd try a new battery, as battery might be damaged from it and not giving enough boost to get past the loop.

@dannyc5125 I think the battery is fine cause I feel like it charges although it is definitely something to consider is there any way to test the battery?

if its water damaged: try completely drying it (phone + batter, with the battery disengaged of course), by putting it in an airtight box with dessicants/dessicators or dehumidifier for 24-48 hours.

Then try trouble shooting it.

what you are doing right now maybe damaging the mobile components further.

@volcob007 Well it's a little late for that now it probably has dried out by now

yeah I realized that.. Ive water damaged my blackberry phone many time and I would ALWAYS put it in a dry box, the last time however I didnt because i didnt realize water had seeped in... I was only able to tell when it started screwing the inside until the trackpad stopped working and eventually refusing to boot. (it is still charging though) after a few weeks, I opened it after and saw rust. Even if you get to fix your phone, it could rust inside if not fully dried (or cleaned inside I guess)
