im currently running windows 7 32 bit and want to upgrade to windows 10 64 bit . my system says it is 64 bit compatible but wonrt run windows 10 64 bit on my system

1) First verify if your cpu is a 64-bit CPU
2) If you plan to upgrade, you cannot upgrade directly from 32-bit Windows 7 to 64-bit Windows 10. This requires a full format. So you will need to backup your files.

If you are planning to upgrade, you can still do it for free until the end of the year using the accessibility upgrade. To do this, you still need to upgrade from 32-bit win 7 to 32-bit win10.
Another method for a free upgrade is to directly format and install 64-bit win10, and activate with the windows 7 key from the windows 7 coa sticker on the computer's tower.
