Is this home button fixable? If yes could you tell me how?

So Im planning on buying this iPad Air from someone. Everything works fine and it comes with cellular as well all for 70usd but the problem is with the home button as shown in the pic. Shd I still buy it and fix it myself?

Solution retenue

You'll have to remove the digitizer to get access to the home button. What probably has happened is that the retaining bracket has moved and this pulled along the Home Button with it.

You can do this yourself but you have to be prepared for the possibility that the digitizer may break when you remove it, which will add to the cost of the "purchase".

If your a DIY fixer and are curious about how the iPads are put together, then this could be fun and educational. If not, then consider having it looked at by a repair shop but again consider the total cost first.

Well I have already changed my 6S' battery, my sister's 5's batter and the LCD on my grandma's 4s! So this should be easy! However as you said Im afraid I wont apply the enough amount of heat and end up breaking the glass which will suck!
