Why is my shutter not working?

I have this cam for almost 4 years and for these past two years, I rarely use it but is kept safe.

Today I tried using it, but unfortunately just by turning the on button, it automatically focused and took one shot (w/o pressing the shutter button) and after that, i cannot take pictures even after trying to press the shutter button.
