Ask a repair technician to check a power relay/controller. Can be that. Or the place that connects battery to MoBo, or paths between relay and battery.
All that is possible only if your battery isn’t discharging while your laptop is in use (be that work with docs or heavy duty like gaming/3D-modelling).
If your battery is discharging, then it might be an AC adapter issue.

Steps to fix a laptop battery that won't charge
Turn off your laptop. Turn off your device and wait 30 minutes before you turn it back on.
Check charging ports, cables, and outlets. Inspect your laptop's charging ports and see if there is any dust or debris.
Remove the battery.
