how can I change password on apple i6 tied to dead email address - it leaves me in a loop requiring reset password going to email address that no longer exists

Hello, Mike. It sounds like you are referring to your Apple ID, so correct me if I’m wrong. In order to resolve this you will have to contact apple support.

Thanks Alec, yes, but so far all they have done is send links to the dead email address! Obviously they have to guard against stolen phone problems, but pretty bl**dy useless. Hoped for some help from the real world!

You can also take it directly to the apple store and they should be able to change the currently linked email address.

Not my lucky day, they couldn't do it at Kingston and gave me the apple support phone number.... Oops, another loop......
