My laptop had an issue and it restarted saying there was a problem.

So I was just watching youtube on it and then it shutdown stating there was an issue, and afterwards it restarted just fine except the light showing that it was charged is flashing green instead of just staying flat green. It says that it’s not losing battery percentage and when I plug it in it’s charging, but I noticed that a few things that are installed on my D drive have lost the their picture on my desktop. Is there anything I should be getting fixed with this, or is it just a minor thing I shouldn’t worry about?

More than likely, I’m guessing that this is a result of a recent Windows Update. It’s common that hardware will behave differently, especially after the recent ‘big updates’ that Microsoft has rolled out. I would keep an eye on your device for any suspicious software, or adware just in case, but from what it sounds like, is that Windows has just found a better way to manage the hardware on your machine. With older devices, it’s common to see things like this. Based on the model number provided, your laptop will be turning 10 years old this year!

It may be more helpful if we have information regarding what operating system you are running.

My laptop is actually a k501u but I didn't see that when I was posting the issue. Although I do think that it may just be a windows update because it seems to be behaving just the same.
