replaced battery and phone will not charge now.

I followed the repair guide while replacing the battery in my moto z force droid last night. I finished the battery replacement and the phone powered up and functioned normally. Now it will not charge and the phone is dead. The phone recognizes the the charger, but will not charge. I have since opened it back up and re seated the battery connector numerous times thinking that might be the issue, but it still will not charge? I dont think i damaged anything during the battery replacement? Any ideas? Bad battery?

I ordered another battery and installed it last night. Its charging fine now. I guess I got a bad battery on that first one.

Not sure it helps you at this point, but I had the battery replaced in my Z Force a few weeks ago, and now the Moto Tubro30 chargers that came with my phone *and* my wife’s Z Force will no longer charge my phone. So I bought an Anker USB-C 30W wall charger, and interestingly that works fine (phone says “TurboPower Connected”), and so do both of my JETech car chargers (again with “TurboPower”). I thought maybe the Moto charger ‘knew’ my phone didn’t have the OEM battery any more and that’s why it stopped working, but it sounds like yours is working fine which is great — I wish mine still did!

thank you for the input. I have not updated this for a while, but my phone is not charging 100% correctly. what I have found since my battery replacement is that the turbo charger will not work when the battery is ~50% or below. when it is ~50% or above, the phone will charge with the factory turbo charger. Ive just been using lower amp chargers since the battery replacement. Not sure why its acting like this. I might try an Anker 30W charger to see if that works.

try to reset the phone …it helped in my case.   my mistake I made a unknown wrong change in the settings..

I have the same problem.. and unfortunately for us i believe we have accidentally scraped off a tiny little chip located on the very skinny part of the circuit board . The phone says its turbo charging but nothing it going into the battery.. and… i dont have the pintip soldering gun nor a steady enough hand to put it back on.. not to mention i cant find it.. hope this helps you.. mine is the moto Z3.
