Hi, so I’m building a gaming PC and I am purchasing an AMD 2200G Quad Core CPU. I have heard that the motherboard would need to have a BIOS update to use this CPU. Will this CPU be compatible with a MSI B350M Pro VD Plus ''motherboard? Or will it be totally incompatible? I am fine with updating the BIOS as long as I don’t need the kit from AMD to do it.

Yes, your processor will be compatible, you should also be able to boot to the BIOS to update it as well, however, it may be unstable, just keep that in mind.
Also, wherever you are buying the motherboard from may be able to assist you with getting the BIOS updated before you receive it, I would send the company an email or phone them to ask if they would be able to assist

Hi,
it is compatible, but if there will be some problem with drivers or “compatibility”, you must update your BIOS, because from manufactory, the MB is ready for 1st and 2nd generation of processors, but processor, which you are going to use, is 3rd generation.
So yes, it is compatible for about 90%

So all I have to do is update the BIOS? Also, will the motherboard turn on in order for me to update it, or will I need the kit from AMD?
Yes, just update BIOS, I think, that you must enter to BIOS and you have 90% done, there may be Update Bios option, if not, you have to create USB Update, or use AMD Kit.
