My zippi fan fell off my desk, and no longer works.
My Zippi fan fell off my desk, and now no longer works. I’m not the handiest person, but I’d love to fix it instead of buying a new one. Any thoughts?

Try listing to the motor when you turn in on, depending on the damage you could have simply pent something preventing the motor from turning. If this is the case, try to repair the damage. if it is not the case, you can open it up and pull out your multi meter, see where the power issue is.
Finally if no power issue a motor may need to be replaced

I have to say that while this is an old question, it's not a good answer and shows little knowledge of the product. I came to this site hoping ifixit might have the necessary part(s) to repair the fan. I can't find the source right now, but I researched this before and what I understand is that there's a small, simple - VERY INEXPENSIVE (under $2.00) - fuse that will burn out to prevent damage to the motor if the fan blades are unable to turn. In other words, it can be fixed. I'd like to fix my two non-working fans as opposed to buying yet another (which would be my 5th zippi over the last 15+years. They're the best small fan I've found and it's a shame to waste these over a $2.00 part.
