so i my phone got wet, at first it worked perfectly but after a few hours it turned off . i thought its battery died so i charged it and now it wont turn on or respond to anything. so can it still be fixed by a professional?

Yes there is still a chance to salvage a water damaged phone even after it’s been plugged in. However, keep in mind that by plugging it in you are introducing electricity to a board that could have unwanted bridges between components and that can severely damage a device.
Best thing to do would be to disconnect the battery (if possible) and bring it to a repair centre ASAP. Or, if you feel confident enough, try fixing the water damage yourself! Check out this link for some more info

so it turned off on me last night and i plan to take it to a repair centre tommorow, is that too long? (also thanks for your answer very helpful)
The sooner you bring it in the better. Every case of water damage is different so you couldn't really say when it's too late
