Ice maker not working after replacing inlet valve

Replaced icemaker inlet valve, now it's not making ice

We thought we had a leaking icemaker inlet valve. We replaced it only to find out that the issue was actually the water line connected to the valve. My husband clipped out the piece of the tube with the leak and reconnected. We tested and adequate water is going through. The water works perfectly from the door, but it is not making or dispensing ice. We did turn it back on (control panel on the door). Any ideas? Thank you!

Having your exact model number might help us.

Icemaker Switch

The ice maker switch might be defective. It is also possible that the icemaker switch got turned off by accident. Check the switch to ensure that it is turned on. If the icemaker switch is turned on, but the ice maker still isn’t working, use a multimeter to test the switch for continuity. If the icemaker switch does not have continuity, replace it.

Thank you for responding. The model # is GI6SARXXF04. Where is the icemaker switch?

Thanks for the model number. Your model does not have this switch.

Here are the four possible causes that I found. See if the valve you installed is the same as this one:

In most cases, its the water valve inside of the refrigerator that sends water to the door and to the ice maker. It usually starts with a leak inside of the refrigerator but once you shut off the water inlet for a while and turn it back on, the leak with stop but the defective water valve will not send water to the ice maker.

I’m having issues with Frigidaire ice maker my model is FGUS2642 LF2

Always had water to the door but the ice maker stopped after cleaning the clogged up tray. This is what I have done so far: replaced water filter, water got stronger to door but still no ice maker

Replaced water valve ( 3 solenoid) checked that I did have good pressure to valve and leaving valve also made sure line from valve to top of freezer was clean and not frozen also tube to ice tray clear and not frozen.

I thought maybe the on off switch might be bad and I did have another ice maker with same parts just a different plug so I took all the switches out and replaced them being sure each was installed correctly.

I’m not a professional but I’m not a complete novice either, I have always worked on all of my appliances but I’m just about ready to burn this thing and use it for target practice.
