MacBook Air shuts down after power cable has been unplugged

This issue has been happening for a while now and it wasn’t much of a bother to me, however I have started to need to travel with my Macbook a bit more lately so plugging it in all the time isn’t a viable option for me.

History of the problem:

the issue started about 7 months ago, my mac would turn off randomly. Back then I never used to leave the laptop plugged in, just for charging. Eventually the shutdowns became more routine to a point where the mac would not stay on if not for a power cable.

I tried to do an SMC reset, however that did not help, and the issue still persisted. I’m not sure if I did the reset wrong but what I did was I shut down the computer, plugged the cable in, and pressed the control, option and shift keys along with the power button and the cable changed colours.

I’ll attach a few screenshots of the coconut battery status if that helps.
