PlayStation 3 CECH-K01 Disc Drive Not taking Discs In.

I am working on getting a PS3 CECH-K01 working for a friend and have been diagnosing problems with the Blu-Ray drive. The drive will play games if I manually raise the drive assembly and place a disc on it. I cannot make the system take in a disc though. I have checked the motor with a bench power supply and it is not seized or locked up, it will spin. When I press the two switches on the motor board though nothing happens. I have checked the drive logic board and there are no obvious spots where anything has let the smoke out. I don't know enough about these logic boards to begin probing around to try and find any faults and I have read you can't just simply find a working board online and swap them out.

Before all this diagnosing I cleaned the whole system up because of the massive amounts of dirt in it. Before cleaning I tried to insert a disc and it sounded like the motor tried to take in the disc, but like it got hung up. I took apart the disc drive to remove the large amount of dust from inside the drive. I removed all the gears, cleaned them with IPA, and lubricated them. I have had success before with getting these disc drives to take in discs by doing a clean and re-lube before. When I put it all back together it was no longer even trying to take discs in and this is what lead into me testing the motor with a power supply.
