Lenco TAB-1020 won't turn on

Hi !


I try to repair an old (and a pretty bad) Lenco Tab and I need some help. It doesn’t want to turn on. Whatever I try, the screen stay blank.

Here’s what i’ve tried and checked so far :

  1. Power + volume up
  2. Power + volume down
  3. Power + volume down + volume up
  4. Other combination with Home
  5. Power + reset 5 sec ; then power 10sec
  6. The battery seems to be charged as I measured 4.1v outpout (Should I be triggered since it’s 4.1 instead of 3.7 ?)
  7. Check links between button and motherboard
  8. Check screen connection (multiple times)
  9. Unsold the battery, resold it 10 minutes later (and try again all things above)
  10. Charging it all the night and try again

Noticeable thing :

  • the combination “Power + reset 5 sec ; then power 10sec” gave me a : beep-beep-beep————beeeeeeeep. Just once, never again.
  • When i push On/Off button, i can feel the CPU warming. When I push on/off button for 10 sec, the CPU is getting cold. Is the tab actually turning on ?

Have you any tracks ?

Hi,

Just curious if anything shows if you connect a display or monitor (TV?) to the tablet's HDMI port?

It may be that it is turning on but that there is no display.

The user manual doesn't say that a setting has to be enabled for video to be sent to the HDMI port so maybe it will be there all the time if the tablet is on of course

What happens if you just press and hold the reset button only for 5-10 seconds and then release the button, you didn't say?

Anything showing on a computer (Windows explorer perhaps) when you connect to it and it is "turned on" just to indicate any signs of life?
