Yes you can replace the fan but it's probably going to be hard to find the part. Can you give any other part of model numbers on the computer.

As Allan already said, yes you can replace it. But you can try to renew the thermal paste first and remove the dust inside, before you order anything. This will probably reduce the noise. And if not, you can always replace the fan afterwards. If you have some trouble to find a new fan, you can also contact the manufacture and see if they have something for it.

Why changing the thermal paste help? The fan is making noise so it's physically failing. It. Sounds like the sealed bearings have lost there lubrication and are dried out and if it's not changed it will stop working. The thermal paste is only to transfer the heat from the processor which the fan blows the heat away. Thermal paste is not in contact with the fan. So that makes no sense.

Well sometimes the thermal paste is simply "Dried out" or is getting bad. When this is the case, the thermal paste can't transfer it all to the heat sink, which the sensor is telling that CPU is generating more heat. So the fan will spin faster to blow the heat away, but the heat sink does not cary all the heat due the bad thermal paste. Which will cause the fan to spin faster and faster as the CPU is overheating ( it won't cool down to the normal level it should, so it won't stop spinning), which will cause a noisy fan (mostly) all the time.
