Touch Bar Flashing a White Rectangle
The touch bar on my macbook pro recently started flashing a white rectangle next to the power button. It does not do it whenever the touch bar display is on, but starts randomly flashing whenever the display is off. Found a video of someone else with the issue here: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/tou...
Looking on forums, Apple’s solution seems to be replacing the entire upper case assembly and sometimes the logic board.
My Macbook is out of warranty so I’m wondering if that is overkill and if there is a simpler solution. Is it possible to replace just the touch bar on this model following the instructions on this site (Touch bar replacement Yay or Nay?) or does it have to be repaired by someone who can run the ‘Apple Service Toolkit 2 (AST 2) System Configuration Suite’?
Thank you!
