Apple Watch (42mm) Adhesive Strip

I ordered one of your (42mm) adhesive strips to reattach the new screen. After cleaning the watch surface well and applying the new strip, the side away from the buttons popped open. I tried a little rubber cement but I still can’t get it to stay down.
