My JBL Extreme has been first charging for hours, Help

Hello. Nigerian here,

Yesterday, ordered a speaker from an online store and have been charging it for about five hours with it still being on the first led, and not switching on at all…

Could it be the speaker is faulty and be returned or have I got to let it charge more?

It's quite infuriating coz it's quite expensive here, about…$450..
