Rear camera and flashlight not working

I think I broke my iPhone 12 rear camera and flashlight or disconnected something from inside. I’m kinda shocked that it happend the way it did. Just wanted to know if it’s a doable fix if I do it myself. As I’m not in States right now and can’t remember what my warranty situation like. Although I got this phone a little more than a month ago.

Sorry to say this but if the camera module is actually damaged you are not able to replace it yourself. Apple has paired the camera to each motherboard so if the camera is replaced you will not get all the functionality back on your device. Sadly the only way to get the rear camera replaced as of now is to go through apple themselves.

So I had this issue randomly yesterday too. My phone is 3 months old. I contacted Apple support. They ran a diagnostics and said there is an issue with the camera (like I wasn’t already aware with that). They told me I have to go to an Apple store to fix it. Except every Apple store near me is closed due to COVID. So now I have to go to a third party place to fix it or mail in my phone… which can’t happen unless they plan on sending me a new one beforehand. So I after all of this after spending $1k on this phone I will be absolutely livid if I am responsible for any cost of this process. Apple better get their $@$* together.
